My First Online Slot Impressions

Playing online slotsHey, friends and fans! As I outlined in my welcome post (which you really should’ve read before coming here, but just in case you didn’t I’ll repeat the important bits), I’m a rather experienced gambler who has never touched an online casino. So, what’s the sensible thing to do? Well, correct that wrong, of course! As a little experiment, I decided to sign up for several different online casinos, deposit a couple of quid into them and see what the fuss is all about first-hand! As of the time of this writing I’ve spent about a week or so playing online slots, and while my playtime isn’t anywhere near that of others, I think I’ve gotten several important impressions already!

Online slots, in general, are AWESOME!

In theory, online slots are supposed to provide players with an experience that matches or even exceeds that of physical slots, except in the comfort of their own home… And that’s really exactly what it does. Online slots, while of varying quality, are generally really, really fun, and they have everything one might ever want from slots. We’re talking smooth animation, jackpots, bonus games and features… It’s all done really well! If I’m to be perfectly honest, when I started playing I just assumed that online slots are little more than a pale imitation of physical slots, but some actually exceed the quality of many of the physical ones I’ve played. Because they’re not limited by hardware (or the price of said hardware), developers are allowed to be a lot more creative than they would’ve been otherwise, and it shows!

Licensed slots are a mixed bag, though

Licensed slots are slots which are based on a pre-existing property, such as “Game of Thrones” or “The Pink Panther”. As you might imagine, some of the most popular slots in the online casinos where I played were licensed, and let me tell you, some are incredibly good, while others are… Well, not. I’m a huge fan of the TV show “South Park”, which is always able to make me laugh with its intelligent comedy. And, as expected, its slot version is great! I mean, really great, to the point where if there was a physical version of it somewhere around me I’d practically hog the machine! The aforementioned “Game of Thrones” is very lackluster, though. I’m not a fan of that show, but if I was, I imagine that I would’ve been very disappointed – it’s a pretty obvious use of the license to make money and nothing else!

The winnings are just as real, though

I’m going to spend some time talking about this in another entry when I’ve got more concrete information, but thus far I’m seriously loving how frequent the winnings are! In physical casinos you might win once or twice, just to motivate you to keep going, but here I won every few spins (and when I say “won” I mean “at least twice my bet”). I understand that this is all highly subjective, but hey, this whole blog is pretty subjective, so I see no reason why I shouldn’t brag about my wins!
