Random Thoughts on Slots

jackpotHey, everyone! It’s Medall here, and I’m back with another slot-related topic for your enjoyment! Today, though, we’re doing something a little bit different than usual. I’ve been thinking a lot about the slots I’ve been playing recently, mostly looking for ideas to write for articles, but none of the thoughts I’ve had seem enough to justify an entire article. So I figured – why not just make a column specifically for my random thoughts and ideas? The following sentences may or may not be interconnected into a text that makes sense, they’d mostly be just my thoughts on various slot-related subjects. So, without further ado, let’s get down to business!

Has anyone played the “Spider-Man” slot? Recently, I’ve been VERY excited about the upcoming “Captain America: Civil War”, in which, as you may know, Spider-Man will finally make his long-awaited appearance into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so I decided to give his slot a shot. Boy oh boy, was I pleasantly surprised! The slot itself isn’t that big of a deal, but its bonus games are amazing! There’s several of them, a lot of which are just variations on free spins and that sort of thing, but there are a couple which are really good! My favorite one is when the entire slot transforms into a fighting game where you can do special attacks and combos in order to deplete your opponent’s health bar. It’s amazing! Who comes up with this stuff?

I’ve noticed something that all real money online casinos rated by ukcasino.org.uk have in common, and that’s that there’s a whole ton of slots in each one. Like, TONS. I get that slots are by far the most popular casino games out there, I don’t need that explained in detail, but dear lord, some online casinos have 200-300 slots on there! Compared to other games, which only have 5-6 variations at the very most, there’s just hundreds upon hundreds of slots! And I don’t think that the overwhelming majority of them are even getting played at all! I mean, most people just head for the big, licensed names, don’t they? Some slots look so bad that even a newcomer like me wouldn’t touch them. What’s up with that?

Last, but not least, I am somewhat confused about the double option that some slots have. If you don’t know, in some games, such as “Game of Thrones” or “Gladiator Jackpot”, you can often double your winnings or lose them all by betting on a coin toss after each win, if you want. Is that coin toss also checked to make sure it’s not cheating? No matter how many times I try it I always seem to lose my win, and I have no idea if that’s by design or if it’s just my rotten luck! At this point it could be either, but honestly, I think that a coin toss should be 50/50 over dozens of flips, and yet I’ve barely ever won! It’s so weird…

Anyway, that’s it for today’s edition of Random Thoughts on Slots! If you like this, make sure to let me know, and I’m going to share some more random thoughts with you down the line. Take care!
